Our Story: The Journey to The New Exodus Ministry Fiji
Ten Years of Preparation, One Divine Calling
The New Exodus Ministry Fiji is not a sudden whim; it is the culmination of over ten years of faithful service, deep reflection, and a profound conviction laid upon the heart of our founder, Sharvind Kumar, and his family.
For more than a decade, we walked alongside numerous ministries, witnessing the landscape of faith and service. This journey provided invaluable lessons, revealing the beautiful potential of God’s work, but also exposing the common pitfalls that can weigh down the spirit—the burdens of institutionalism, the exhaustion of performance, and the tendency for ministries to drift from the foundational priorities.
After years of witnessing how most ministry paths walk, a clear, undeniable calling began to take shape. It wasn’t about reforming the past; it was about accepting a re-creation.
The Seed of a Giant Beginning
The Lord laid it into the hearts of Sharvind Kumar, his wife, Vina Lata, and their son, Sarneet Kumar, to step out in radical faith and become the core of God's grace. The vision was crystal clear: to start a ministry that was anchored solely in the liberating truth of Galatians 5:1:
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery."
This conviction led us to our very first service, held not in a grand building, but in the simple, sacred space of our family sitting room. It was here that we declared: "This is not just a family devotion, it is a Calling by God our Father, and it holds the seed of a giant beginning."

Our experience taught us that true, sustainable ministry must flow from the health of our souls and the clarity of our priorities. This led to the formation of our core Mission and the New Exodus path:

We committed to never letting the demands of the work overwhelm the sanctity of the family and the centrality of God.
We recognize that every experience, every trial, and every lesson learned over the past ten years was simply preparation for this moment. When we launched, we embraced the powerful promise of Isaiah 43:18-19:
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."
The New Exodus Ministry Fiji is that "new thing." It is our commitment to leaving behind the weight of the "former things" and trusting the God who makes a way where there is no road, and who creates life-giving streams in the dry places.
Today, Sharvind, Vina, and Sarneet are the first champions and ministers of this vision. Our covenant with God is that this Ministry will always be a vessel for the New Creation truth of 2 Corinthians 5:17. We operate with the belief that even if we are only two or three, that is more than enough, because we are starting with the right priorities and the unwavering belief that God is the founder and finisher of this work.
